Amanda López Askin currently serves as the county clerk for Doña Ana County, leading an office that services a diverse area, including a vibrant border community. Born and raised in Las Cruces, NM, she was appointed clerk in 2018 and was elected for a four-year term in November of 2020. Amanda lives in Las Cruces with her husband and five -year old daughter. She is a proud alumnus of New Mexico State University, where she’s earned three degrees, including a Ph.D. focused on leadership and administration.
Lindsey Bachman was appointed as Chief Deputy Clerk in April 2018. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Texas at Austin and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Missouri in Kansas City. Prior to joining the office, Bachman held various roles in the nonprofit sector, working in in marketing, project management, community engagement, team leadership and communications. She also served as a volunteer in the Unites States Peace Corps in the Dominican Republic from 2009 to 2011.
